OK so since when have guys noticed these things...Should we worry about how they mock us? I have some shoes similar to those above, I think it's time for a spring clean. Some of these comments are hilarious though and I like that fashion shouldn't be taken so seriously -- it's about wearing what you love and feeling good in it.

Arise FW

Sadly I couldn't make it back home for The Arise Magazine Fashion Week in Lagos, Nigeria but luckily I could browse the collections and street styles online.

Let me start by saying that not everyone was born to design and some of the collections proved that. From nipple slips to bold prints there were some stand-out collections this year from African Designers and some other parts of the world. I love that Lagos is making it's mark as a fashion capital of Africa and with time I know that it will get better.

I prefer the collections that didn't go towards the generic "African Print" and instead chose different types of print like tartan and baroque.

BEST TILL LAST:
The craftsmanship!!

Advanced style

Style is ageless and A few pictures from my favourite blog Advanced Style shows that it is. It is a blog that "documents street style and fashion of the mature and wizened". I do feel that this is a demographic easily forgotten by the fashion world so when I saw this blog it was a nice change from the typical street style blog and also it was a learning experience flipping through pages and pages of women showing how personal style improves with age. This is what I love about fashion - it can be translated in so many different ways. AMAZING!
