Turbans + ZARA

I've dusted off my large pashmina's and started wearing turbans again. They not only keep my big head warm but also completely transform a look. The styles below are a large bow and 2 buns.

I'm not a huge fan of zara mainly because I think they are overpriced and I've never been happy with the quality of their pieces; but there is a new Zara store on oxford street and it was just calling my name. I spotted this tailored sleeveless wool + leather jacket with copper zip details - a great item for layering this winter. I also spotted a lot of textured pieces like a floral sheer lace top, snake print tee, leather sleeve tee and a quilted leather jacket with beading along the lapel. Everything below could be worn together in various ways. I must say I'm impressed with the symmetry of the collection this winter - every piece has it's place.

Aqua

Possibly one of my favourite shops- AquabyAqua is a womens + mens wear designer featuring simple pieces with an edge. Clients include Lala Anthony, Paloma faith, Leanne la havas, Alexandra Burke etc.

They currently have a sale with pieces up to 1/2 price! I like the designs mainly because they go up to a UK 16 (US 18) and since I'm a UK 14..It means I'm not restricted to certain items. Ohhh and another thing..if you've got curves their clothes are perfect for accentuating the right areas and if you dont have curves..they are also great for giving you a little extra ompff! Win Win!!!

monki

Swedish brand Monki has opened it's flagship on London's Carnaby Street and this morning I popped in for a quick glance at the clothes on my way to an appointment and I must say -- I AM IN LOVE!!

Adore their use of bold colours and neutral ones which is everything that I'm looking for, for the coming Spring and Summer months. Shops like these are great for adding simple but key items to your wardrobe then you can go elsewhere for more intricate or expensive items.

Here I come... :)

Marni x H+M haul

I GOT TO MY LOCAL H+M STORE AROUND 10.15 AM AFTER GOING TO 3 OTHER STORES AND NOT GETTING A WRISTBAND. I COLLECTED MY WRISTBAND AND WAS TOLD TO COME BACK AT 12.05 PM. OUTSIDE THE STORE YOU SEE PEOPLE WITH BAGS LOADED WITH THE COLLECTION AND MOST OF THEM EITHER EBAY SELLERS OR AVID FANS WITH MONEY TO BLOW. DURING MY TIME SLOT (10 MINS!!!) I ALREADY KNEW WHAT I WANTED SO I DARTED ACROSS THE SPACE. LUCKILY I MANAGED TO GET THE LAST SEQUIN COLLAR (MIRACLE) THEN SOME  ITEMS THAT I WANTED TURNED OUT TO BE NOT SO NICE (NOT MY TASTE) SO I FOCUSED ON TROUSERS AND SHORTS.

HAPPY THAT I MANAGED TO GET THE PRINTED SILK SHORTS AND TOP, BOTH ANKLE TROUSERS AND THE BLACK SEQUIN COLLAR. THE PURPLE AND GOLD WOVEN ANKLE TROUSERS ARE MY FAVOURITE.

IT WAS CRAZY! I SAW WOMEN FIGHTING OVER A BRACELET.

THIS COLLECTION IS PROBABLY THE BEST I'VE SEEN OF THE H&M COLLABORATIONS IN TERMS OF QUALITY. SILK ITEMS WERE 100% SILK AND CARDIGANS 100% CASHMERE. THE JEWELLERY WAS TACKY AND THE MIXED PRINTS WERE NOT AS NICE AS I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE. I WOULD HAVE LOVED THE BLACK POLKA DOT ANKLE TROUSERS BUT I COULDN'T FIND ANY IN MY SIZE, AND EBAY IS OUT OF THE QUESTION.
