At the event in New York, Solange wore Stuart Weitzman 'capsize' pumps in Salad Aniline. Her colour blocking ensemble is lovely. I found similar pieces (or might be the actual one) from Giambattista Valli's new collection and a silk-satin top (still trying to find out).

who runs the world? Well solange seems to be. SHE IS EVERYWHERE AT THE MOMENT, SHOWING THE WORLD WHAT WE HAVE ALL SEEN FOR YEARS. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOOT. SHE GRACES THE INSIDE PAGES OF INSTYLE MAG WITH AFRICAN influenced PRINTS AND OVER SIZED JEWELLERY.

The contrast in the colours is what I love about this look.

I CAN SEE THE BEAUTIFUL MULTICOLOURED ATTIRE OF THE MAASAI PEOPLE IN THIS DRESS. COLOUR IS SYMBOLIC TO THEM: reds are connected to blood, blue beads have a connection to the heavens and the gods, and green beads having a connection to prosperity, fertility of the land, and peace. I love the beaded + woven collars above!

She could easily one of these looks in typical solange style and look amazing.

Mellow yellow

I love the combo of white and yellow, like Solange, Rose Byrne + Mischa Barton do below:

When I saw the pink and yellow combination worn by Dakota in the post below, it was something I never thought would work, but the subtle softness of the pink/nude  + bright yellow somehow works. Some other examples of the colour combination in different styles:

  I will be on the look out for some yellow + pink pieces, though I'm not a fan of yellow I could wear it in accessories like bags + shoes (even nail varnish)
